St. Jude Walk
On Saturday, Nov. 22 2014, HAC Wellness Initiative and thousands of other individuals participated in a 5K walk at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center to support the annual St. Jude Give Thanks Walk which benefitted St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Houston was one of more than 65 communities nationwide that helped raised funds and awareness for children battling cancer and other deadly diseases. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases and contributions give St. Jude the freedom to focus on what matters most which is saving kids regardless of their financial situation. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was one of its national sponsors for this important fundraiser. Houston Alumnae Chapter fellowshipped with other Delta Sigma Theta chapters as we joined in unison to support the St. Jude Give Thanks 5k Walk.
