The Houston Alumnae Chapter (HAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered in 1927 as the first Houston area chapter of the not-for-profit, public service sorority. With a financial membership of more than 545 college-educated women, HAC has provided community service, educational scholarships and social advocacy in the Houston community for 95 years.

Even in the midst of a pandemic, civic engagement through registration, education, and mobilization are cornerstones of our commitment to social advocacy. HAC is dedicated to ensuring that members of the Houston community have an opportunity to engage with those persons who are seeking to serve and represent them on a local, state, and national level.

The 2022 Candidates Forum offers just such an opportunity.

This in-person and moderated event will offer the public a chance to hear directly from candidates and submit questions for those candidates appearing on the panel. This forum is free and open to the public. The Harris County Elections Administration is bringing the new voting machines for the public to view and Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrars will be on hand to register voters or update voter information.  We invite all citizens of the greater Houston area to join us on Saturday, September 17, 2022.  Preliminary presentations will begin at 9:30 a.m. The forum begins at 10:00 a.m.
