Greetings Sorors and Friends!
On behalf of the dedicated members of the Houston Alumnae Chapter (HAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, it is my pleasure as the 47th President to welcome you to our virtual home. Chartered January 27, 1927, we were the first Black Greek-letter organization to organize a chapter in Houston, Texas with programs addressing the needs of the communities in which we live and serve. We are proud of our rich legacy and remain committed to using our collective talents, resources, expertise, and interest to serve others.
HAC’s ability to influence and impact the fabric of the Houston community is matchless. We provide a pathway that beams with the light of hope for the future of others by executing programs, activities, and events that align with our sorority’s National Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement. Some of our programs, events, and activities range from: youth mentoring programs for at-promise girls and boys, workshops to educate individuals on ways to be more fiscally responsible and economically stable, various social action initiatives, and an annual fundraising event that raises funds to support college scholarships for students.
Please continue to visit our website for updated events and details about our many exciting programs, activities, and events for the upcoming year. We invite you to follow us online on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram. Your support of our events and programs is appreciated. Thank you for visiting the Houston Alumnae Chapter!
Called to Serve,
Houston Alumnae Chapter
