HEALTHY LIFESTYLE: TOTAL WOMAN: MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT

As an organization of predominantly African American women, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is uniquely positioned to impact not only the well-being of its membership, but also the families and communities we serve. Therefore, initiative addressing the COVID-19 Pandemic, minority access to the vaccine, and Mental Illnesses associated with COVID-19 at being sponsored by
the Houston Alumnae Chapter.

The DeltaCare initiative is an internal wellness initiative under the programmatic thrust of Physical and Mental Health. It was
created to promote self-care through physical wellness, emotional wellness, and awareness/advocacy.

Houston Alumnae Chapter has taken the Self-care, Healthy Options, and Exercise (S.H.O.E.) to virtual heights by offering
live exercise and nutritional tips to its members.

Specifically, the Red S.H.O.E. challenge is the physical health component of DeltaCare that encourages members to engage in healthy behaviors. Now partnered with Weight Watchers, WW 2020 has made healthy eating and living easy.

To address a personal proactive ways to slowdown the effects of the Corona Virus, health care professionals of the Houston Alumnae Chapter has created a special COVID-19 Pandemic over-the-counter (OTC) Kit for def Carr and to share with the community.
